7 Days of Pretty Waves

Want a different look this summer? Here, I've offer up seven wavy hairstyle how-tos for a cool, updated ‘do this season. Come see!

Natural Texture: Everyone wants the wash-n-go styles that seem so effortless. The best way to achieve this look is to use sea salt spray (you can find the reciepe here) and mist it into your strands when its damp. Scrunch your hair a little to bring out your wave and then do. not. touch. it. Let it air dry and you are good to go!
1920's Waves: Use your fave hairspray and a 1 inch curling iron or wand to recreate this look and then brush until smooth.
Faux Bob: An easy way to get your hair off your shoulders: Place your hair into a low, loose ponytail and then tuck it under and pin. Red-carpet glam!

Braids: Make a braid near one ear, frame your face with it, and pin in place.

Swept Back: Hair in your face making you hot and bothered? Twist and pin back.

Hair Accessories: Prolong your blowout by covering roots with a vibrant fabric headband.

Would You Wear Pastel Hair?

I am LOVING the pastel hair color trend right now- its shockingly delicate and fashion forward. Everyone can wear it, I dare you! I recently picked up a few new pastel colors for the salon. I now have Coral, Soft Pink, Aqua, Lavender and Mint shades to share with my clients. Check out my inspiration from below- see anything you like?

Caron + Mike

Happy May! I handled quite a few weddings in April, but one of my favorites was Caron and Mikes! They flew out from California to come and elope here in the low country. How amazing is that?! Caron was stunning as she wed Mike in the private gardens of the Thomas Elfe house on Queen Street. I wish them many joyous years to come! Photography courtesy of Diana Deaver Weddings
